The Garden of Gethsemane is where we begin the beginning of the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry today.

Israel’s Temple Mount area is where we will be visiting today. We are given two choices regarding visiting the top of the Temple Mount - we can sleep in and linger over breakfast, and then wait two hours in line, or we can get up at Oh-Dark-Hundred and be first in line.

This segment of my travel will be from Jericho to places around Jerusalem.

Israel’s southern portion of the Jordan River Valley is my new destination.

In thinking of Israel, there are three routes of discovery or pilgrimage to be made. There is following the flow of the River Jordon from beginning to end, the ascent to Jerusalem, and then Jerusalem itself. And in doing so, you will be in the proximity of a place where the historic Jesus once occupied.

In continuing my recent journey following the movement of Jesus from the head waters of the Jordan to the Dead Sea, this stop is at Caesarea Philippi.

Continuing my journey through the Holy Land from the head waters of the Jordan to the Dead Sea, my next area of interest is downstream from Caesarea Philippi to the Sea of Galilee.
